Mr. Buck presented data and statistics to Mr. Curtis regarding the cross country and soccer coaching positions, specifically those classified as "dependent on participant number" (DPN) coaches. He noted that the head coaches for both teams were removed from the DPN pay schedule last year. Given the current number of student-athletes participating in these two sports, Mr. Buck recommended adding a third coach to each team. Under the proposed schedule, the existing assistant coaches for cross country and soccer would be reclassified, and the newly added third coaches—if approved—would fall under the DPN category on the pay schedule.
The Assistant Cheer was inadvertently left off of the new schedule, it was added last October and the pay schedule did not reflect it.
